In The Mix on page 22 we talk about KSHE's Real Rock Cafe; cut 7 is the promo for it. Cut 8 is a promos for 100.3 The Q's fireworks show. Producer Ross McIntyre passes on thanks to Joel Moss/WEBN for the inspiration. Cut 12 from Reid Thrush also comes with some thanks to Chris Duffy/WMMR who provided the concept with his promo on the July Cassette. Side A wraps with a creative 4th of July greeting from Ron Harper/WWMG.
Great stuff on side B. Cut 5 from Fred Shaffer is done with help from sales! Fred writes, "The sales exec actually went and gathered the sound bites from the bar, and even the Sales Manager helped out with the home-made jingle." Cut 11 from Tom Richards/KRTS is another spot put together with the help of two salespeople. Could this be a new trend? We wrap up Side B with a couple of funny spoof spots. Great work, everyone!
