Side A kicks off with a montage from Craig & Renaud at CHEZ-FM. We didn't receive the tape in time to put the spots on last month's Cassette. They are examples of "generic specs" as discussed in last month's Forum article by Renaud. Cut 4 features Andy Capp taking a cue from a recent tip and singing along with a piece of production library music. Cut 7 features music written & performed by Rich Van Slyke. With cut 9, we begin a collection of sweepers from several people and carry the sweepers onto side B with a set from Joel Moss at cut 1.
The rest of side B is filled with some great promos. Cuts 13 & 14 recall those famous "Thomas Hearings." The last cut on side B comes from Al Peterson. It's a synth pad Al produced using his Roland SC-55 and Yamaha TG33 MIDI module. As Al puts it, this is his Christmas gift to you. If you can pull it off The Cassette and use it, go for it. (We hope the high speed duplication hasn't deteriorated the quality too much.)
