Merry Christmas and welcome to Cassette #23/December 1990. On side A, we feature sweepers which are right after the montage from this month's interviewee, Greg Scott Fisher. These sweepers have to rank among some of the best we've had on The Cassette. Of the strange variety are those from Glenn Miller (cut 4). Glenn said he was instructed to produce some sweepers for an all request weekend (called Free Form Friday) that didn't sound like sweepers. Mission accomplished! Listen for several Halloween promos on side A along with a salute to our troops in the desert from Ron and Leslie Erak of Grace Media (cut 11). The last cut on this side is a promo from Craig Rogers/WHO-AM for the 52 minute WHO presentation of "War of the Worlds." Obviously, we couldn't place the entire production on The Cassette, but we did listen to it and our hats are off to Craig and the staff at WHO for a VERY well produced show. (On the flip side of the cassette Craig sent to us was WHO's presentation of "A Christmas Carol" which was also very well done. This is obviously Craig's busy time of year!)
Side B begins with the presentation for WEZF Creative Services from Mary Collins-Angier (edited version). Nice job Mary! We took the liberty of reducing our "promo inventory" this month by filling up the rest of side B with more promos. We'll get back to our regular format next month. Wrapping up side B is a long promo from Larry Williams/X100, San Francisco. This promo was aired on the one year anniversary of the major quake that shook "the city by the bay." This one will send a few chills up your spine! Thanks, Larry!
