This month’s Editor’s Choice Award goes to Evan Surminski at Corus Radio in Winnipeg for a morning show promo he produced for the station’s Shadoe Davis Show. I thought it stood out from the typical morning show promo, which is often nothing more than a clip from a previous show – not to say those kinds of promos aren’t effective, but they don’t grab my ear like this one did. And the subtle production techniques Evan used to create the atmosphere, from the reverb to the sound effects – including that cough -- did not go unnoticed. Nice work, Evan!
