STUDER introduces the new D741 CD Recorder. Features include analog I/O, S/PDIF and AES/EBU digital I/O, and a SCSI-2 port for interfacing with workstations for CD-ROM production. STUDIO AUDIO & VIDEO announces the release of SADiE3. The new software is a free upgrade to current users and is designed to run on existing SADiE hardware as well as the Octavia system. The upgrade features DRD, Dynamic Reallocation of DSP power which greatly enhances the efficiency of the system. SADiE3 puts the user in the familiar tape recording and mixing desk environment and all functions of the user defined in-line mixer occur in real time. In other news, SADiE will become the first DAW to integrate the new CD Text Creation System from Philips which allows text information to be embedded into the digital data on the CD. Congrats to Rich Van Slyke, Production Director at Jacor's 96 Rock in Atlanta for picking up two Achievement In Radio Awards. He took home top honor for Best Radio Commercial and Best Radio Event Promo. He was a finalist in the Best Creative Director category. This was the first ever Atlanta A.I.R. Awards which raised over $40,000 for the March of Dimes.
