We begin Side A with an impressive collection of work from The Real Bob James. Cut 2 is a promo from Brian Kelsey/WAXQ-FM, a sample of a technique described in this month's Tips & Techniques section on page 17. Cut 11 from Paul Ciarrochi/WZSR-FM is an excellent example of "community involvement." When Motorola moved into the area, the station was on hand to get sound bites from Motorola's president and the Governor of Illinois.
Side B kicks off with a treat from Joel Moss/WEBN. The piece is titled, "A Virulent Strain of Twisted Sickness in the Great Big Petri Dish of Radio Production." As with any virulent strain of twisted sickness, this audio is not recommended for innocent ears. On a related note, cut 9 is yet another example of using "sex" to sell. The spot generated a 100% increase in the restaurant's lunch business. We wrap up Side B with a spoof spot from the creative overnight crew at WKLQ/Grand Rapids!
