We open Side A with an impressive demo from Mary Collins, this month's interview subject! The demo kicks off with samples of several jingles Mary has done and wraps with three spots that highlight her creative (and voice) talents outside the "jingle domain." Cut 3 features work on KRBE's new Sonic Solutions Quatro workstation. (By the way, Larry Whitt and Donnie Marion are new additions to the RAP Workstation Network, but we didn't get them on the list on page 17. So please add them for the Sonic Solutions system! Their number is (713) 266-1000.) The next cut, from WXKS-FM, features Pro-Tools 4-track digital workstation production. Then we get some ORBAN DSE-7000 digital production from Craig Rogers on cut 6! You CAN hear the difference.... More trashy and wacky stuff wraps up side A!

Side B opens with the final installment of our "Video Deli" series as discussed in Andy Capp's column, ...And Make It Real Creative! Check out page 20 first, then listen! Tom Sandman's demo from last month's Cassette inspired Tom Richards to pull cut 6 from his archives -- a unique way to sell a fine arts program. The society's theme for the year was "Dance, Play, Sing." We wrap up Side B with a couple of great sweeper montages from Larry Whitt/KRBE-FM, Houston and Jeff Berlin/WXKS-FM, Boston. Nice work everyone!!!
