Lots of commercials and promos on this month's Cassette! Oldies 98 in Memphis has gone into the restaurant business ‑- possibly the first station to do so! Cuts 5 and 6 push the station's diner. Be sure and listen all the way to the end of the side; cut 16 is a nice piece of work from Tracy Schakohl of KPLZ-FM in Seattle.

Cuts 1-3 on side B come from Holly Buchanan of WMXB-FM in Richmond, VA who wrote and asked us to put a few club spots from other subscribers on The Cassette. So.... We get a sample of Kelly Wilson's musical talents on cut 4 for an oldies night club. Peter Drew tells us cut 7 is for a club "patronized by a large number of gays and transvestites. The club owners wanted to broaden their customer base to include 'adventurous' college students and young adults." And a collection of club spots wouldn't be complete without a couple (cuts 9 & 10) from Keith Eubanks at Power 99 in Atlanta. The side winds up with a well produced spoof spot from Mitch Todd which offers just a bit of political humor.
