Alan Peterson, National Production Director for the Radio America Network in Washington DC, is calling it a career. He announced his retirement effective March 11.
Alan has been a longtime subscriber and occasional contributor to RAP Magazine, going back to the days when it was a print-and-cassette publication. He's provided product coverage for us from past AES conventions and written several how-to articles. Along the way, he had been an educator and convention speaker, longtime columnist for Radio world Newspaper, and handled commercial and imaging duties for stations in Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and DC.
By far his most lasting contribution to radio is "Dork-a-Pellas", a collection of comedy acapella radio jingles he co-wrote in 1996 with jingle producer Ken R Music, and now owned and distributed by Dan O'Day's L.A. Air Force.
