Our industry lost a gifted talent and pioneer with the passing of Keith Eubanks. We interviewed Keith eleven years ago in 1991 when he was the “Club Spot” guy at Atlanta’s Power 99. His unique delivery and production style quickly vaulted Keith into the voiceover arena where he gained national and international recognition for his distinctive and much imitated vocal style. He will be remembered in radio circles as “The Voice of Modern Rock.” We have assembled a small sampling of Keith’s work on this month’s RAP CD, including excerpts from his 1991 interview demo, as a humble salute to this production brother who left us way too early, but not without making a permanent mark on the face of radio.
