The R.A.P. Soundstage - August 2017

We get started with another Editor’s Choice Award winner on track 1, a well-executed piece for Canada Day 150 from Jay Helmus at Corus Toronto. Great idea, perfectly done and FUN! Track 2 is a way cool sweeper from Dave Foxx’s Z100 archives that he references in this month’s Production 512 class. There’s more excellent promo work on tracks 3-5. Lots of creative commercial work on tracks 6-13 starting with one from a SAIT student on track 6, and we wrap it up with a tribute to Chester Bennington from Alex Zaretsky at Rogers in Lethbridge. Thumbs up to all for your contributions this month!

If you’ve done something cool lately, shoot it to for next month!

Support the R.A.P. Soundstage by sending some audio you’ve recently produced at your studios. Please include your e-mail address for anyone interested in finding out details about the work. Promos, commercials, sweepers/IDs, bits, spoof spots, song parodies, and most any other good piece of production are welcome. If you send sweeper/ID montages, make them around sixty to ninety seconds long max. All other items should be sent on separate files. Please normalize your mp3 files and trim the silence from the front and back. Email to, and thank you for supporting the R.A.P. Soundstage, formerly known as The R.A.P. CD and The R.A.P Cassette from way back in the day – none of which have existed without you. J
